Secret Valley Escape is a short 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive from Sydney, or 20 minutes from Lithgow
Coming from the M4, Sydney
- Pass Blackheath and Mount Victoria, and descend Victoria Pass, noting the amazing views over Hartley Valley
- After the descent, take the first left at Cox's River Rd, just after The Farmhouse restaurant
- Continue along Cox's River Rd, and enjoy the beautiful scenic journey past beautiful rolling farmland and bushland
- After 5 minutes, when the road forks into 2, take the left fork, which is Blackheath Creek Rd
- Continue to the end of Blackheath Creek Rd (another 5 km) where you will cross the creek and follow the signs leading to Secret Valley Escape
Alternative route from Sydney along Bell's Line of Road
- A beautiful scenic route via Richmond and Windsor through Kurrajong and the many orchards
- At times a quieter route, with less traffic
- About 20km before Lithgow, turn left at the intersection pointing to Mt Victoria
- From Mt Victoria turn right and follow the Great Western Highway (see directions above)
Coming from Lithgow
- Drive east along the Great Western Highway till you reach Little Hartley
- Turn right onto Cox's River Rd (directly opposite Ambermere Rose Inn) and follow the directions above
